Develop With Us
Dean Valley in conjunction with Total People is committed to development in equestrianism and making a real difference. If you would like to know more then please contact us or look at the Total People website.
Our yard manager, Danielle Gowrie, has completed her BHS Stage 3, PTT training etc with us in conjunction with Total People and in 2007 Danielle become Total People's Apprentice of the Year. This was an amazing honour and experience for all of us. We are proud that Dean Valley was able to offer the requirements for this achievement, and we are exceedingly lucky to have Danielle on our team.
The Total People awards commemorate the success of exceptional young people, recognising their achievements, and the valuable contribution of local employers. There are ten categories of award, and from each of these, the overall Apprentice of the Year is announced.
Danielle, who has completed both her apprenticeship and advanced apprenticeship with Total People, was described as "an exceptional candidate, with incredible drive, determination and enthusiasm". Danielle received a further prize and a designer watch, and was thrilled to win. "It's amazing," she said "I have always had a passion for horses and a great urge to be successful in working with them - to win this award is fantastic!"
Dave Watts, Chief Executive of Total People, commented, "The Total People Apprentice of the Year competition is an excellent opportunity to recognise the achievements of the young people who undertake apprenticeships and the valuable support offered by employers. We are proud to support so many talented young people and wish every one the best of luck and every success with their future careers".
If you have the talent, drive and determination you too could enjoy the success that Danielle has. Danielle is now able to assess our students on site so there is no requirement to travel elsewhere.
In addition to these tremedous achievements, Danielle has been crowned North West Apprentice of the Year.
